چکیده

The aim of this study was to compare the postural control women with knee OA and healthy peers determine effect on control. Thirty-two individuals, sixteen osteoarthritis(52.12±10.69)and women(51.00±10.00)who were same age (±3yr), evaluated as measured by a NeuroCom EquiTest. Outcomes included equilibrium scores, sensory analysis ratios, sway energy score, latenciesfrom organisationtest, motor test, adaptation testandwere examined using independent t-test.Equilibrium scores (in condition 1: p=0.030, 3: p=0.019, 4: p=0.045, 5: p=0.010, 6: p=0.041, Composite value: p=0.011), strategy score (Strategy p= 0.015), ratios (vestibularratio: p=0.013 managementratio: p=0.023), latencies (largeforward: p=0.020 comprehensivelatency: p=0.016) significantly better in group. presence had an impact system's effectiveness its utilization Lower values for group evidence larger displacements center gravity forward–backward direction suggesting that unable maintain balance compared controls. Also, displayed longer neuromuscular response latency perturbations, indicating reduced ability begin recover quickly following unexpected disturbance. This observation should be taken into account fall prevention, especially, individuals place dynamic situations conflicted environment, these are found daily life.

Balance deficiencies in women with fibromyalgia assessed using computerised dynamic posturography: a cross-sectional study in Spain

OBJECTIVES Our aims were (1) to compare the sensory organisation of balance control and balance strategies between women with fibromyalgia (FM) and healthy women; (2) to investigate which sensory component, that is, vestibular, visual or somato-sensory, is the most affected in FM and (3) to determine the associations between the functional independence measure (FIM) and balance responses in FM....

flexibility of knee joint muscles in women with knee osteoarthritis and healthy controls

background: osteoarthritis is one of the most common diseases in synovial joints. dueto high loading forces during weight-bearing activities, the knee joint is prone to degenerative processes. this study aimed to compare the flexibility of muscles around the knee joint in patients with knee osteoarthritis with those of healthy individuals. methods: twenty-three women with bilateral knee osteoar...

Knee osteoarthritis in obese women with cardiometabolic clustering.

OBJECTIVE To assess the role of obesity and metabolic dysfunctionality with knee osteoarthritis (OA), knee joint pain, and physical functioning performance, adjusted for joint space width (JSW) asymmetry. METHODS Knee OA was defined as a Kellgren/Lawrence score > or =2 on weight-bearing radiographs. Obesity was defined as a body mass index > or =30 kg/m2. Cardiometabolic clustering classifica...

Computerized Posturographic Measurement in Elderly Women with Unilateral Knee Osteoarthritis

OBJECTIVE To identify the subtle change of postural control in elderly patients with unilateral knee osteoarthritis (OA) with computerized dynamic posturography. METHOD Twenty-two healthy women and twenty-six women with unilateral knee OA, aged 60 and over, were enrolled. The computerized posturographic measures included a weight bearing pattern during squatting and sit-to-stand, sway velocit...

ADAMTS14 gene polymorphism associated with knee osteoarthritis in Thai women.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most prevalent form of arthritis in the elderly. This disease is characterized by breakdown and loss of articular cartilage due to genetic, mechanical and environmental factors. Although the pathophysiology of OA is not completely known, several candidate genes have been reported to be associated with OA susceptibility. We assessed the association between genetic vari...
